Re: 'Morning Commute' #1

We were pleased to have the opportunity of getting around New Orleans by streetcar for one day. It's such a great way to see the city at a reasonable rate. I wasn't aware there were various names to the street car lines. https://www.neworleansonline.com/tools/transportation/gettingaround/streetcars...

the Shaman & the Fortuneteller - VooDoo Love

This couple works the Jackson Square area, she as a fortuneteller and he as a VooDoo Shaman. I shot this as she told him goodbye for the evening. All suggestions and comments appreciated, especially ways to make them stand out a bit more (what I already did involved a slight blur of what's behind the...

Leading Lines this week

I tried something weird involving multiple kinds of leading lines, and it didn't quite work out but it was fun anyway.

Shot with slow shutter on the trolley ride in NOLA this weekend.

Re: New Orleans Ladies #1

Minnie, the two were a sight for sore eyes. I have many of the two together and separate, which makes it rather difficult to choose and I'm sure you have many as well. I know we discussed the gender and I'm still in doubt, but have come to a conclusion to be reveled later. Just curious if it matter...

Re: A Gentlemen's Agreement

A handshake between two street performers sharing the same corner of Bourbon St for the night: Tin Foil Man and the Littlest Drummer. Dave Chinn and I just finished a 4 day stay in New Orleans. We suffered 100 degree heat and stifling humidity to bring back a bunch of street shots that we'll share ...

As usual for your kids, the eyes dominate. He’s precious. The eyes are wonderful. It would be great in monochrome too, because the eyes would still be great, but the greens and blues are quite nice.

Re: New Orleans Ladies #1

Interesting pair, I find the smoke on the ground by their feet amusing..... These two were not in good shape, though it was very early in the morning. They are regulars in the Quarter ,and everyone knows them well. It is interesting how the artists, street performers, homeless folk and other local ...

Re: Minnie's 52

looks like success to me, you captured a sense of madness - as if the driver is saying "let's scoop something up with the cow catcher".. This image would be a good target for a bunch of birds flying away, and a dog running fast to get out of the way. Thanks Piet. Those are good ideas! I did throw i...

Re: A Gentlemen's Agreement

Yours has a different story, more ethereal and I imagine a dark enchanting mystery novel with this as the cover. I would love to see you post your versions with mine! I'll do the same if you want. I think it is so interesting to see the different ways the same scene can be captured and presented.
