Re: Monthly Masters' Discussion - December 2018 - Bruegel's "Census At Bethlehem"

Interestingly enough, I am in the process of refining my lecture on composition and this image has so much going for it, compositionally. ... Well, I must say you picked a perfect time to share a lesson in composition based on a kitchen sink artwork! I fully agree that this is carefully ordered cha...

Re: the sky is ink

your tinten composition would put the lie to that -- but your story goes far to say how skill overcomes talent. How hard work overcomes "its's easy". Talented people are lazy - it comes easy. The rewards are in the struggle. With PS, at least there is nothing that can't be undone/redone - the canva...

Re: Monthly Masters' Discussion - December 2018 - Bruegel's "Census At Bethlehem"

I like the subdued colors/light - reminds me of a cloudy day. I suspect Minnie likes Bruegel's kitchen sink very well. And I do too, everything seems to have its place and the images speaks about hustle and bustle and community and building, collecting, keeping things going, working, LIFE. You know...

Re: Minnie's 52

This is wonderful Min. Love how you placed tomten and pig such that they were contrasted against the darkness. Love the fabric/texture of the basket in comparison to the other objects. Love how the candy cane and the flowers point towards our two friends. Love how it is sharp and clear up front and...

Re: Minnie's 52

This is a mash-up of stuff I was playing with late last night. Textures of various types both made and acquired, slapped around my fireplace and topped off with a little tomten and his pet pig. They look rather toasty Minnie !!! Very creative project that payed off. Well done indeed !!! Dave Thanks...

Re: the sky is ink

the bird is the Northern SkullCap - when they get stuck they scream even louder than the Australian OhNo bird! About dexterity, Me neither - but I'm getting closer and getting better at refining and seeing things wrong... But with layers and photoshop etc, dexterity is no longer a requirement! “Nor...

Re: "Sex Is Better" New Orleans Ladies #3

I don't think these ladies have to be held within the "glamour" section since they were on a public street and no one was paying much attention including them. The title is more suggestive than the ladies but perhaps it got your attention ;) . All suggestions appreciated. The scene seemed to warran...

Re: the sky is ink

So I'm terrible with language and agree it's hard...so aren't the lines basically more or less a demarcation of where you are wanting to contour the light so to speak...again I think we are saying the same thing....minniev you can hop in any time and lend a helping comment or two... you help me thi...
