Nothing at all wrong with contrasty, I just thought that wall texture was worth reintroducing..which you can do and still keep it bright
The good thing about plaster walls- if I’ve lost detail I can steal some from another photo.

Re: Minne's NEW 2019 52

I guess I'd have to see it with less to know but what I do see is wonderful...very well done, great color palette and composition...like this one a lot. Thank you! I used PS blur tools to create the backdrop from what was in the photo instead of trying to replace it. The light was nice but the grou...

Re: Noon in Cienfuegos - B&W

Minniev it's all in what you want to present..this is well done and a nice street grab, I've no comment for improvement...my taste for this image as follows. Their is detail in the white columns, I would bring it out, likewise in the doorway, also on the right side of his face...all personal prefer...

Re: Dogwood

I am enjoying the "sharpness" of the background. I like the depth that it seems to provide giving us the subject, a middle and a further back type of feel. It is a wonderful study of greens and yellows. Perhaps take the darks and warm them a little more to make the subject pop a little more. This i...

Re: Minne's NEW 2019 52

Gee I almost forgot to post this week's 52 project image. This week's theme is Close Up

This little flower is about 1/2 inch long, so there aint much to it. Mainly an experiment in artistic flower stuff. I may have too much texture on the flower itself. Or other bad stuff.

Noon in Cienfuegos - B&W

Experimenting with some of my Cuba photos in Black and White, all comments appreciated. Frank's talk of shadows made me do it.

Re: Swing

Thanks minniev, I feel shadows across the face important in a lot of my casual grabs..I think it interjects some reality to the image..also a touch of movement sometimes, you may notice some hair blur. The slight blur really adds to this one. Since I’m a natural light shooter too, I am with you on ...

Re: Dogwood

Over all a pleasant image with back ground looking about right to me, I like it minniev......some haloing along stems sorta stands out.. Thanks Sharp Eyes, I see it now that you bring my attention to it! It was an artifact of shooting with backlight but since I altered the lighting balance, I need ...

Re: Swing

wondering if I've pushed the high key a bit too far... I like the high key. If you bring it down, you'll have worse trouble with that shadow across her face than you do now. With the high key, it is barely noticeable. I love her hair, and I always love her expressions. She is a hoot, she always mak...
