The sun was shining on the back of the strings of the blinds. Matt
Light + leading lines + geometry + abstraction - proof you can make ANYTHING interesting.

Re: Simple Statue

Nice shot, interesting angle, and you kept all your sky detail in spite of the bland sky, which means you could dramatize it even more if you decided to. The composition works nicely with the outstretched arms forming leading lines to draw us back in. Well done.

Very nice minniev, great use of light...sure seems blue under the house though..
Glad you liked it. Actually they were purple when I first raised the black areas. I got them as far as blue but might can do a bit more. Those harsh shadows drive me nuts.

Re: Feather in the shower

I shot this feather stuck to the wall of our outdoor shower. It was about 2 inches long; I have no idea which type of bird had lost it. On Copper Wings

I am proud of finding out exactly who this is: she's a red-banded hairstreak! What a name! She is attracted to 3 plants primarily and this one is dogbane. I hope you're impressed! Here is a great resource for butterflies and their favorite restaurants. Just in case you've snapped a photo of a butter...

Could not be more perfect. Marvelous. Matt
Glad you liked her, Matt.

I made a little video of her spinning out the web, but it is shaky so not much good. She works so quickly! And I love how they look in the morning when the dew is still on them and the early sun reflecting.
