Yesterday Morning

A quirky shot of a foggy sunrise, trying to hold all the tones in without HDR. The colors were pastels, and delicate, so I didn't try to ramp them up. Suggestions and edits welcome.

Love the rustic wheel !!! I'm sure you can pull more age from it with your editing skills.
Dave
I agree, needs more grunge. I think I need to shoot from a different angle. Or maybe from the ground...

Matt

Several of you have noticed that Matt Quinn has not been participating for a while, and were justly concerned since he's had such serious health issues. I heard from him today and the news is good. He is in a period of recovery, and hopes to rejoin our group in the spring. He is in good spirits, and...

Re: Sports

I've always loved your sports shots and wished I could do that for my grandsons. I remember one you posted a couple of years ago with a boy at home plate, I think it was a sepia tone. My suggestions as a parent/grandparent: find some fine art presentations that are uniquely adapted for the sports yo...

Re: Make A Holiday Card!

Adding one that I made with a photo I shot a couple of days ago after we put up the our first Christmas tree in the old house we've spent all our time and money on the past few years. It will be my first Christmas in that house in 50 years, but all my childhood Christmases were celebrated there. Aft...

Re: Minnie's 52

Weak 51 - Rust - from that piece of old farm equipment in my yard that I can't seem to give up. Kinda snapshotty but it was rainy and cold and I didn't have the fortitude to do anything very creative. May try again when I'm back there tomorrow. Next week I have "photographer's choice" so will shoot ...

Re: Dave's Project 52

I saw the trees as Dave shot them, on the back of his camera, but this is the first time I've seen one of them posted. I love what the fisheye does with the lens. I agree that it would be fun to shoot these trees from a variety of angles and manipulate the "lean" for balance as you did with the trai...

Re: Head Turner

It does leave one to wonder, just what the interest was. My guess it was the nattily dressed gentleman. Altho, the wiring is an issue, I would venture to say that and among other things in Cuba was a common site. Either way, it's a good capture and her out of focus is another common issue among us ...
