Sometimes we're up sometimes down and it's never easy but that's why we do it.

My condolences and love the cake story! The image is amazing! S-
Thank you. As you know, the light coming through the kitchen windows in the morning is wonderful, I am amazed by it every morning I spend there.

All lovely, but especially the dead one. Dead flowers have a special beauty and you got it.

from the grandmother.

Matt
Great moment captured. I'm not sure it wouldn't be stronger without the grandpa (or whoever). The moment is all about the girls.

all comment welcomed....
I think these handsome fellows are maybe better apart than together, due to the lighting. There is a little selection issue on the foreground guy around the chin area I think, though who am I to even try to talk about selections...

Re: Minnie's 52

Sorry to learn about the sudden death. Always painful. Love the photo, the light, the scene, and the marvelous counterpoint of the still life of a traveling cake. Genius. Matt Thanks Matt. Maybe a story of persistence. But the scene is a magnet for me. It is the image of the sun coming through this ...

Re: Minnie's 52

Condolences Minnie !!! The story behind this image is very interesting and I'm sure one that will be remembered and talked about for some time. I love the image, the colors, window and cake all are inviting to see and to eat. The lighting is spot on for the occasion to show off this lovely image. D...

Re: Minnie's 52

Think you're under stating your ability a bit.....being a touch too humble maybe If you could see the original you'd understand. Photographing into the sun through a windowscreen is a trip. Psychedelic moire that does not respond to any moire-fixing tool. All I could do was heavy gaussian blur on a...

Re: Minnie's 52

Close up I took my little macro lens to my OtherHouse in Sallis yesterday to work on this assignment, and had too much fun with it so may post more than one thing. While rampaging through the head-high hayfield looking for blackberries I spotted this owl feather caught on a stalk and stopped to pho...

That's determination.

Does your son play the piccolo? PS could do wonders with a little snake charming on your porch.

Or maybe steal something from Stock. Matt
I bet Jack will help me out, he loves a good story.
