Maroon Bells This Morning

I went out there in total darkness, in a foot of fresh snow and not quite 10 degrees. It was not the most auspicious set of photos ever taken at the Bells. No clouds for interest, no alpenglow, and the lake was at about half normal capacity due to a couple of years of drought. I missed peak foliage ...

Re: Juvenile Ibis

Though I like both versions, I like the first best. It has more magic.

you certainly managed to get it upbeat...well done

Re: 'A favorite character in New Orleans'

With all the walking in New Orleans I developed a blister between my toes, took a break and went in a corner store for Band-Aids. Walking by as I was leaving the store was this individual pushing/pulling a shopping cart with his dog inside the cart. I was able to work the scene some with his approv...

Re: Juvenile Ibis

saw this morning on a tree, seemed very laid back. JuvenileIbisS.jpg Gorgeous image, Piet. You know I’m taken with fine art images of birds. There are not that many folks who explore this avenue. Most “great” bird photographers seem to stick with the ultra sharp action/detail shot that is definitel...

Re: 'Weeping Guitarist'

Here's my version and as you can see, it has far less impact and interest than yours. I didn't see the potential the way you did. Your version is an excellent one Minnie. I like very much the point of view and the color tone. I usually struggle with the microphone in the face. Here you have managed...
