Re: Serenity

And beauty is always there to be found, if you have the eyes to see. I always enjoy your “Above the Clouds” series. It looks like you could walk out and step across that stuff. Lovely.

Rocky Mountain High

One of several I’ll be posting from the John Denver Sanctuary in Aspen, on the day of the first snow of the season. Hope some of ya’ll who know more about snow than I do will help. Snow is contrasty! Reflective! Pretty but not easy to get the magic of. And in this one I wonder if that limb on the ri...

Elk Love

It’s that season in RMNP. The guys with the biggest racks are bugling and whistling and pushing competitors our of the way, keeping their ladies together. We saw harems as large as 45+ but this guy only had about a dozen. I know I have noise and detail issues due to shooting in near darkness at terr...

Re: Beaver Meadow at Dawn - Rocky Mtn NP

I'm coming up with (subject) as the answer to Dave's "seems to be missing something"...can't figure out if the foreground is what's on display here or the background...both are nice but I think I would try to downplay the foreground a bit and concentrate on bringing out the background..... composit...

Re: Beaver Meadow at Dawn - Rocky Mtn NP

This reminds me of the time I lived in Denver back in the early 70's. We would take a Sunday day trip to the mountains just to have something to do ... adventurous wise. This image seems to be missing something. Yes, there is excellent color tone but the composition is not up to your normal images....

Re: Minnie's 52

A very touching story Minnie and your first image fills in any blanks there may be. Your second photo does fulfill the weekly requirements, but I'll have to agree with Frank ... too out of focus. Then again, it does give you an A+ with the wheel. Dave I did go too far OOF, but yeah, the wheel made ...

I agree that it’s too OOF, but not all experiments succeed. Most of mine don’t! :)

Jackson Square in New Orleans there is never a dull moment and sometimes its hard to pick and choose.
Gee Dave, I didn’t get her either (or if I did I got her a very different way). The position and gesture make this image. Yes, there are characters in every direction!

Re: Dave's Project 52

These 3 are wonderful images that capture the spirit of Two. The is a beauty, with those eyes and curls. But you got more than a pretty kid, you got the wonder and inquisitiveness of that special age.

Re: Minnie's 52

Wheel gave me Out Of Focus. This was a personal project, but I’ll share it anyway since I’m among friends. The blur version is shown alongside the unblurred version of the same scene. Some of you know that I have much-younger half siblings, as my father had several wives and with the last one had tw...
