Re: Help With Photoshop Action

So, it took some real investigative digging but I discovered one potential culprit. Since this action relies on selections, go to your selection tools (left toolbar) and go down the line and make sure sample all layers is NOT selected. This will hang up the action guaranteed. Hope this fixes your i...

Re: Help With Photoshop Action

I spoke too soon of my success. Sometimes it runs and sometimes it doesn't. There seems to be no pattern. I reckon I'll keep fiddling with it. It is definitely better with the v2 brush pack, but still pretty buggy. I've figured out how to turn layers on and off, change opacity and blending modes, an...

Re: Help With Photoshop Action

since you see that mechanical brush, you have it loaded! The requirements for the action are - to the best of my knowledge 1) image must be 8 bit (can't be 16 bit, cause then the filter command stuff isn't available) 2) image must be RGB 3) layer painted on called "ga" above your background layer. ...

My 3rd batch of the season.
And a great batch it is, taking the calla lily essentially apart for art study inch by inch. The middle one is my favorite.

Re: Logging Show here in Sunny Sequim

! &5 for me Ernst...you are consistent with out doubt.......all wonderfully done you will have to explain the last piece of equipment to me...not that it will change the well captured shot. Wonderful images full of local character in all forms. Another great example of your mastery of the portraitu...

Re: Help With Photoshop Action

I uninstalled everything again, and reinstalled, again. It ran once the first time, all the way through, with a hideous result that looked nothing like what any of you had posted, full of rainbow colors and a big bright white raggedy ring where the selection path was. I ran it again on a different i...

Help With Photoshop Action

OK, Duck, Piet and Frank are having so much fun with the Soft Colored Pencil PS Action that I had to spring the $8 to try it. So far it has given me more grief than any action I've ever tried. It has crashed my computer 3 times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. The action may run a few ste...

Re: All U Can Eat Crawfish Buffet

I see you have opened up your diner. I think this image is awesome, take advantage of the crowd, get many, many images. My 600mm Sigma is my favorite friend. (borrow or rent if you have to, what a place to get some shots - problems or not. There is just something special about an entire flock on wa...

All U Can Eat Crawfish Buffet

There were simply too many egrets to count, and far too many not to try to shoot them, but this is an awful place. Above and to the right of where I cropped out is a four lane road with all the trimmings and traffic, and along the left are every single electric line that crosses the Pearl river, bun...

Re: lesser egret

You should play mindlessly more often........minniev has made good points as usual...although I rather like the drama of the shadow. Well done Piet I agree with leaving the shadow there, it might look unnatural to remove it, but mitigating it some. It doesn’t always work but when it does, it simply...
