Re: Fall Blooming Crocus

Out little family has now moved into an actual house with lawns fore and aft. For our next trick we shall attempt to unpack. We discovered there was a small patch of very tiny flowers popping out of the front lawn. By the time we noticed them they were chewed up, but this one was still pretty good....

Re: The Watcher

On a street in Delhi, India. C&C please. _DSC2228-2.jpg Terrific capture of a moment - head peeping through that dizzying assortment of patterns and colors and shapes, surrounded by an equally dizzying array of architecture, lights, wiring, signs, etc. It is a keyhole image of India as I've lea...

Re: The Last Stand

...... before being razed and plowed into the earth. I was attracted by all this design-work against the sky. Added a touch of Luminar for PC, AI filter. Very nice executioin - sharply detailed image of a simple subject, nice use of texture to give it depth and a more artistic and finished look. I ...

Re: Great Blue Heron in Hiding

Sometimes you find one of these beauties nearly hidden in shadows and reeds. Suggestions, edits welcome for furthering my idea of mystery and discovery. Thanks! I love the photo but am not crazy about the color scheme, which emphasizes him in a way that makes it hard to understand how hidden he rea...

Re: Monthly Masters' Discussion- Oct 2017 - Gursky's Rhein II

Since I'm the one who encouraged others to post a "Rhein II"- ish image, I should do the same. So here's the two I've taken, and I confess to recalling Rhein II when I took them, in a vague sort of way, and shot the images for my own fun. The first was taken from the cliff above the Missis...

Re: Broch - Dun Carloway

A wonderful image, Min. I recall some trips when that degree of hazy sun might have been on the only day in two weeks when sun was seen at all! Your posted image, however else you might have thought of processing it, has captured that sort of day utterly perfectly. Your composition places the broch...

You could always post this in the "Edit my shot" section... (?)

You are right, and I want to see us use that more. It's a fun way to share learning.

Re: Broch - Dun Carloway

Every new post makes me more jealous than the last and proves your skill in your ability to take us there with you. You are blessed to have met Graham, but even more so to have him guide you to a few of his favorite spots. Imagine if we could all be so lucky to help one another see what we see! I l...

Re: Monthly Masters' Discussion- Oct 2017 - Gursky's Rhein II

Just back from 10 days wandering about eastern Canada on a bum leg, camera in hand, and am beside myself with glee to find such a wonderful discussion in this Master's thread. Thank you to ALL of you who participated, especially Matt, Chuck and Duck for going the extra mile sharing research and know...
