Re: Mother, Daughter & Son

Well, you gave her a great one, that the family can treasure forever. It's dreamy, rich, full of emotion. They should surely count it as a treasure.

Re: Salt & Pepper

Yes you can make a fine image out of the stuff on your table! Well set up and captured, and I love the "bokeh balls", however they came to be.

Re: Grazing

Very nice, especially with the left hand cow peeping through the grasses at you with the warm sun touching just those small areas with highlights. As for the other, well, that's what ungulates do, they eat. Constantly. I like the painterly look of the processing.

Wonderful images, Ernst. There is so much energy (and music) implied in how you captured them. The first is especially wonderful. I also like the next to last one a lot, with its intentional blurring and interesting framing. A series I spent a good bit of time enjoying.

"And a one and a two, a one and a two... No, no, no, walk like this, I'll show you!" I love this and wonder if you'll include it in your exhibition? The light and dark, one foot up, one foot down, and that perfect ballet! S- I ended up making it into my invitation to the exhibit opening. ...

Oh my, that's a very interesting image. Well taken and presented of course, but the magic is in what you decided to do with the framing-wattled and weathered neck, wrinkles and stains, pen in pocket, all make a portrait with almost no body parts! Thanks for sharing.

Re: Frog Pond, Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha

These are nice shots, Chuck. I relate to the bird statue as there is a similar one near here, at a botanical garden and I can never figure out quite how to get at it! The frogs are cute but that last one is a a really cool image with the frog balanced on all those criss crossed sticks like he's play...

Re: Under The Bridge Architecture - Some By Human and Some Not

The theme is fascinating and would be great fun to do as a challenge or share thread. Both cliff swallows and barn swallows build mud nests under eaves and bridges (and other structures). I've seen nest colonies here packed together by the dozens. Your reflection shot is very enjoyable - a great ex...
