Foggy Drive By Shooting

from the passgenger's seat on the Natchez Trace. Any comments appreciated, but I don't think either is due a lot of time.

The first is out of LR with a different kind of curves treatment than I usually do. The second is a fanciful long exposure with uncrows added later.

Re: Caught

This is for Matt Quinn. He and I had a pact to continue to try and shoot these wooly webs until we found a way to make them work. We did this for two seasons with neither of us having a satisfactory result. When I spotted this one last trip to the swamp, I thought of Matt. I still didn't have any k...

I'll try and take a better look but at first glance I believe the Fairy is a touch on the dark side......

Re: Keeping My Eye on You!

That you found him in that peculiar position and thought to photograph him that way is just wonderful. I love to photograph pelicans and I am always attracted to pictures of them but I have never seen one like this. Kudos for originality and thanks for sharing a terrific find!

Re: Keeping My Eye on You!

That is absolutely wonderful! The DOF works well, the colors are great, the composition is perfect to me, and oh that pose!

What kind of bird is this? I’d love to know more about how you managed this epic shot. I hope you’re sharing it everywhere!

Re: Through the Window

I'm terrible at shadow work, I cannot figure out how a shadow is supposed to go. I tried to use the shadow from the rocking horse as a guide but as you see it didn't help much. "Ground the truck, ambient occlusion"? Could you translate for me please? Good idea to lighten the inside of the truck bed...

Re: stupid poetry

She IS translucent, it is her Molt - left over skin after she crawled out, so we can't call her dead, but this is but a shell of what she used to be! About getting a warrior maiden on her back... I do not know why that idea has never crossed my mind, but now that it has, it is number one on my list...

Re: Through the Window

I really love the lighting here. I am too bashful to go exploring the way that I should, places like this one call to me, but I ignore the call. I remember when I was 10, a friend and I went into a dusty abandoned house and it was empty except for dust and cobwebs and in a lonely corner we found a ...

Through the Window

When I come across an abandoned building I always have a look. If the door is locked I find a window I can peep through. What's inside is often pretty boring, but I usually take my shots and think about later. This time I added a toy truck and threw a few inhabitants into the jar on the windowsill. ...
