Re: Photo Rorschach

I was close. Thought it was one of those faucets with an acrylic knob.

Re: mockingbird workflow

I really enjoyed following along Piet. You turned this one from snapshot to an artistic photo one step at a time. I may have missed it, but I'm not sure about correcting color casts with curves. Did you post a link on another thread? Sounds interesting. The biggest changes you made involved getting...

Re: Dirty Stuff

Why wash them? If you don't need them, leave as is for future photos. This could be a magnificent series; let your imagination run wild. Some near a window, some on a table with an open door behind, some with table, chairs, bench, a hat on a chair, etc, etc. Show us. Matt Well, I actually dug them ...

Wow!

Besides giving me a flashback to my younger bachelor days, I think this shot is great, great, great. I might have to go back to my old ways if I can get a shot like this in 10 years.
Glad you like, Piet.

Not to name names, but there are iterations of this game on other photo forums. I've always enjoyed playing them and thought it might be fun to do so here. I even like the name "Photo Rorschach"
So, what next?

Re: A Frustrated Abstract Artist (Sometimes We Just Play)

This is my favorite egret of the season. He has a perfectly lovely green mask on his beak, but he hasn't found a mate. I think it is because of his bedraggled tail. He had spent much time alone beneath the dam last week, and since he and the other few stragglers could not get on their perches, they...

Dirty Stuff

I participate in a 52 project on another site, and this week's assignment was "messy". I can't get out to do much photography right now so snapped a shot of some dishes I literally dug up behind an old cabin on the farm. Worked on it with a bit of processing and texture, just to get the assignment d...
