Cold Trees

These trees are a set you've seen before, but I tried them in this week's snowstorm, and didn't come up with anything I liked, so them took to the processing tricks, textures, and settled on something out of old film emulations. the odd look of the leaves is something that was in the original, appar...

Othello, Performed On A Frozen Stage

With the cast of characters you've seen before. It was a dark stage (this one is in the deeper bowels of the dam) with the stage lights being the actual daylight that gets in or reflected through the metal grates from above. It may just be too dark, so I'd welcome any advice.

Re: The Rainbow Factory

This has got to be one of the better ones in the series for me. You're making it harder and harder to pick just one that stands out above the rest. But don't let that deter you. :-D Thanks Duck. My winter bird series has had to be a bit different, since I'm stranded about 75 feet back from my usual...

Re: The Rainbow Factory

Wonderful! I love it. "Escheresque" was the first thing I said. I love the whole thing, rust and all (I like rust). The ice! The freezing mist! The light and shadows running directly counter to the lines of the structure! And the birds! Standing rigid, booted and spurred in the deathly cold, sentin...

Re: A pM Retreat? Share Your Thoughts

I am in favor of letting members who have budget or traveling constraints have first dibs on the location choice. Personally, I can travel just about anywhere (within reason, obviously) so any location is ultimately fine with me. Of course Maine (or within a day's drive?) would allow me to transpor...

Here is an interesting new article that's actually BY Gursky, so I thought i'd share it. A little window into his creative process.

Re: lunch

not a great shot, was very far away and heavily cropped. I see this Northern Harrier hunting every day. I didn't think that it was eating too good, since it has been below freezing and all. So anyway, today I see it in the distance and try to get some shots, none very good - due to the angle and di...

Hi All Was doodling this morning and discovered this. For you pleasure. RBorud
I love your doodles. A butterfly in danger of being caught in the vortex of a Whirlpool Plant. Great use of coordinating color. (plus some really cool doodling).
