Re: Old Mill Two Ways

I like that first also - like em both, but that first.. something about the shapes and the vines. I would crop out the circular roof vent thing though I like it from a compositional point of view -- LOL replace it with a gargoyle. Well, a gargoyle would definitely have more interest than that shiny...

I think they are both great, very well done. I think I prefer the first, maybe because I cannot tell what it is at a glance. My first thought was, "prison."
Thanks for dropping by. I am not sure what they made there, but its definitely been a while!

Re: Minnie's 52

Here is what happens when a woman who owns no candles has a 52 spinner- assignment of "candlelight" on a day when it's pouring rain, and she wasn't motivated to go buy any anyway. I found some leftover birthday candles, and set about doing something playful. Meet two of my childhood companions, Pam...

...it fuels creativity. I did things with this that I’d never done - candles , old letters, vintage drawings of butterflies? Truly awesome, Minnie! You have been on a burst of fantastic creativity and exploration with all your topics this month   Thanks Linda. This one was borne o...

Re: In Memoriam - A Tribute to Mr. Percy

So senseless when the good ones get taken in such a brutal manner. He seems like a very open and fun person. Hopefully they catch who did it. He was a bunch of fun, everyone in the city loved him. A neighbor rushed out when it happened and caught the guy who did it and held him till the police arri...

Re: Foggy canyon made brighter

Trying a less in your face look :) Thoughts? I like it - it's cold blue tones are very much in the mood of winter. And I'm almost always a fan of brighter. Is this one using any texture? Brightening is one of those odd things I sometimes do with textures that sometimes can't be quickly detected but...

Re: Water Striders Revisited

From my summer shoot at the arboretum. Found a "bokeh" texture in Topaz Textures that, with some edits, makes me think of leaves under the water - though maybe some shouldn't be so perfect :) Does this image hold any interest for you? They are pretty cool, almost abstract. Yes, it is interesting be...

Lovely image Minnie !!! Canvas would look great and would hold sentimental value for years to come. Prayers for your brother. Wishing and hoping that things will get better.
Dave
Thanks Dave. It would be a good one to hang in the house!
