Re: 'Orangutan'

The name “orangutan” literally translates into English as “person of the forest”. It comes from Malay and Bahasa Indonesian orang (person) and hutan (forest). ... Orangutans are large, but in general they are quite gentle. Adult males can be aggressive, but for the most part they keep to themselves...

Re: One Mitten

Another in my handful of years-old photos that I reprocessed with new versions of ACR, LR, Photoshop and new software I've acquired since then. It does make a difference. This shot in Monument Valley was in very harsh light. I got a bit more out of it this time. Monument Valley is almost an indescr...

Re: Lil Darlin'

Sorry, I couldn't resist posting one of my favorites !!! Taken on a trolly car in Spring, Texas near Houston last month. The natural expression and accidental tilt of the head makes this capture a pleasure for me to view. I don't think I could have directed her to pose ever in this manner. Processi...

Peyto Lake

This shot is several years old of course. My battle with my computer the last two weeks re-acquainted me with some old collections I had on another drive, and I wondered how newer software and a few new skills would let me do something different with them. I tried the new version of Luminar on this ...

Re: Helicopter Fishing

What Frank said !!! Altho, the title fooled me, I was expecting an actual helicopter. Imagine that, a dam bird fishing from a helicopter. Your description is educational and I'm sure it's humorous to watch. Dave thanks Dave. The blue herons dive in like kamikaze pilots, beak first. The egrets lower...
