I redid them and sent them in a PM as suggestions, but yours is striking as-is so don't feel obligated to change a thing! S-

Re: The Last Stand

Thank you for the color explanation, Steve. I was going more for the silhouette-like definition of the stalks against a wan Fall sky, than an artful display of color hues. For me, at least, it doesn't matter ..... it started out as a photograph, then was molded into a primitive piece of art.

Re: 'Class Act'

While this may be a little off topic I wonder if you can help me with something that relates to your image? There are times I see something that could be a good image, but due to some circumstances like the time of day, there may be something wrong with it, like a shadow over his hands in this case....

Re: Fall Blooming Crocus

I would say I like the first, but prefer the second and Linda's crop even more. What I find even more fascinating though is the light you achieved while shooting such a small thing. I'm bad at taking images in the proper light so I usually end up bending over a flower in mid-day and cause a huge sha...

... and like you, I thought the color palette was wonderful to work with (perhaps a subdued version of Navy blue and gold which is near and dear to my heart). There was something subtle about the image that was bothering me. I like the texture but it was that 'just-something' I couldn't quite figur...
