Re: 'Win-Place-Show'

This is an interesting image with a fun story to tell. At first I wasn't too sure of that bright white cloud as it's the first thing that strikes my eye, but it holds it there long enough to look at the big screen which then leads me to the horses in full gallop and back again. The dust behind works...

Metal to brick to concrete to nature, oh my!

I'm always fascinated and inspired by the way you see the world and thank you for giving us that gift! S-

Re: My House

Oh that's nice, and I love what you've done with the sitting area! As a side, I was at an art auction recently and saw a number of 'paintings' that looked like someone's scrawl. I wonder what you think about trying something similar with the ledgers, making them the foreground instead of a texture. ...

Re: Hawk on a cupola with a big moon added

It's odd but I don't like the bird on the right in the first image, I think it has something to do with balance, but I can't decide if it has to do with the other bird, or being so close to the post. There was a time I would leave it, but I can't help but notice it and wonder how it would look witho...

Re: Mordor

You had me at Mordor! And I confess, the first is your best, but your verse makes the journey into the dark worth the travels. For those of you who haven't already, open the first as a sperate image and zoom in. You may not understand the reference to Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings, or the game BattleL...

Re: Sundog at Dawn

Sundog -- new word for me. Thanks. This invites quiet contemplation, Minnie, and a few silent words of thanks. A place for just being present and alone. Grand. Matt Sundog "A sun dog (or sundog) or mock sun, formally called a parhelion (plural parhelia) in meteorology, is an atmospheric optical phe...

Not a spectacular landscape, but one of my morning hangouts, the Turcotte lab owned by the Wildlife and Fisheries folks. Was pleased to catch a sundog, a real rarity in Mississippi, and its reflection amidst the ducks was a bonus.
Such a beautiful spot, I can see why the hawk was there! S-

Re: Blue Hour with my New A6000

These are a little disappointing because I was experimenting like mad and, while not freezing, it was quite cold, which made struggling with a new camera and menus challenging. These are at Lincoln's Sunken Gardens, not very attractive this time of year except they put in Christmas lights. I kept d...

Re: New "Big Boy" Camera Finally

I keep telling myself I won't get another until I can outshoot the one I have, but I have to say I'm jealous!

I love the raw emotion of the first but hope you make the second your avatar! S-
