Re: A Table Awaiting a Reservation for Two

Minnie nailed my sentiments exactly. For me, while it is a very simple still life composition, there is a hint of voyeurism to the scene. As if any minute the occupants of the booth will be sitting down. This is, surprisingly, a very strong image. Nicely done.

Re: Cedar Waxwing

Pretty. Has a "classic" illustrative style to it. Very warm and inviting. Definitely a nice piece of wall art. Nothing really to critique here. A clean, engaging piece of art.

[...] You Got This! S- Thanks, Steve. I find it interesting that I am better at writing for someone else than for myself. I think part of my biggest problem with writing for me is I overthink it way too much. What I should do is get back to the basics, with paper and pencil, lay out the core struct...

Like you, I dismiss most of the reviewers online. If I need hard specs I'll got to a site like DPReview where they actually do bench testing. I also like Tony Northrup because he takes that data and puts it into real world language. Unfortunately all these reviews, "box openings", "sniff tests", "ma...

Re: forest cathedral

This is an awesome shot. Talk about a pretty scene that couldn't be any better if you had planned it. I was inspired to see what could be brought out of this image with some artistic processing. I hope you don't mind. Some may find it over the top but if anything it shows how an image could be pushe...

Re: These Feet were made for Dancing

Shine, I am having a bit of trouble with this. Artistically it does have a lot to contemplate on and I really enjoy, as Minnie mentioned, trying to "figure it out". My point of contention is in the technical aspects. Specifically the soft focus and its relation to the various parts of the image. The...

Re: Portrait Inspirations

That second image (torso with polka dot lights) is very inspirational. I have to keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks for posting these. Thy are great idea generators.
