Re: Decisive Moment - a brief dsicussion

Thanks Piet. In re reading this I think what I should have said was active observation, being in the moment as they say, since it takes more than just casual observation to determine the action(s) going on around you.

Re: Entrance Not An Entrance

Re: Would You, Or Do you, Or Have You Returned to (Or Never Left) FILM?

I don't disagree, mostly. To some extent I think it depends on a number of factors, such as, is the camera motor-driven as opposed to thumb wind? Absolutely you can crack off many shots one-at-a-time with a motor, and of course you can crack off many shots with a thumb wind, but the motor has the s...

Re: Marina Visits

Like Charles my favorites are the first and third with favoritism going to the first one. The reflected ripples on the hull and the shadows of the lines curving inward really pulled my eye into the scene. But then, I'm a sucker for nautical stuff. The second image I have a hard time with and it took...

Re: Palm Frond

First I have to say that I like the fact that you explored that location with the stairs. Too often, me included, find one thing, take a shot and move on. That said, I find this image a lot stronger, subject wise, than the "Stair Fall" shot. Something about shadows that really lends that e...

Re: Irony

What a fantastic find. Yes, this captures the term irony perfectly, or, er... ironically.
