Re: Reassuring_Hands

Wow, what a wonderfully caught moment of sibling (?) tenderness. I love the framing, the play of the reflections in the wet sand, the overall toning. The thing that really catches my eye is there seems to be something funky going on behind the boy's legs. Some kind of artifacting. I really like this...

Re: how to change the world

It takes more facial muscles to frown or scowl. Be lazy, smile more often.

Re: My new challenge: shooting in manual only.

Speaking of manual and priority modes... here is a slide from my lecture on Understanding Exposure I think fits in with this discussion.
The three columns are ISO, Aperture and Shutter respectively.

Kodachrome - the movie

Re: how to change the world

"Change the world, one act of random kindness at a time." Great quote by a great actor. My favorite quote is still the one I use myself all the time; "If you didn't learn something new today, you wasted the day." No one has the potential to love you more than you love yourself. You don't know your ...

Re: Rorschach #2

Well, the rules are fairly simple... an obscure part of a photo is shown and people guess. If too much time passes (1-2 days) a new image clue is posted by showing a little more or some other part of the item until someone guesses correct. The person who 'wins' by guessing correct then has to post t...

Re: Shovels

No problem. Suggestions are just that. You take what works, leave the rest. If nothing, someone else sees this and get ideas of their own. It's all about the process, right? ;)
