Re: Getting Silly with an Old Avatar

I'm ROTFLMAO gasping for air and wiping the tears from my eyes, it's so funny. As for any resemblance... that frown needs to be upside down.

Re: Opening the Floor Regarding the Learning and Use of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw Et Cetera

And Mrs Duck, who looks more merry. I always have my bride with me. Friends are always welcomed. It would be great to have you f...

Re: Out to pasture

I recall making a coment about your images looking under exposed a while back, leading me to think you may have the brightness level too high on your monitor. Now that you have mentioned that your Lightroom edit image looks brighter than your exported JPG image on the same monitor then I am thinking...

Re: Strings

I like the new set of images. Very creative. I have to say, though, the first "3:43 PM" is my favorite of the entire thread. It has a certain classic. timeless charm to it. I think what i like the best about that image, and it's probably because I see it in context with the other images, i...

You and I have the same teachers. Go figure. :D Unmesh Dinda of PixImperfect is a fantastic teacher. He doesn't just show how , he explains why as well. Here is an awesome tutorial on using curves in Lightroom; https://youtu.be/YhQjt4_8yyk When I teach editing in Lightroom I compare using tone slide...

Re: Out to pasture

I like the branches in the foreground also but I tend to wonder if they might be a bit too low. I see a little bit of the hilltop at left and would like to see that line follow through a little clearer across the frame. As it is, the tangent between branch and hilltop are too close together. Raised ...

Re: To Rule Or Not To Rule - That Is The Discussion

I took a seminar from a photographer, an early tester of LR, who COMMANDED us to stay away from the tone curve [...] Wow, tone curves is such a powerful tool that can do so much more than the basic sliders alone can. I teach Lightroom and your comment just irritates me. That's not teaching Lightroo...

Re: Has to be in the TOP 10 of photography vids

No problem. I went through a very harsh and brutally honest redesign of my website last year and I came out with a very professional looking site. On a side note; As for receiving criticism, I fully understand about being attached to your creation but without growth you are only hurting yourself. Do...
