Re: Sunset in Stokenchurch.

[...] The 'LIKE' count continues to rise and my niece is happy (though may drop it now due to its success) so I'll give it a week and have another go (time permitting) later. I've spent a lot of time on this in various guises producing wider formats, oil paint, and watercolour effects, B&W etc....

Re: 'Colonial Williamsburg'

... most post processing is a personal preference, and that's where I run into an issue. I shouldn't do this to myself, but I do and did, processed the same image in two different styles, which creates a mind boggling catastrophe. There is nothing wrong with the style of processing of either image....

Please don't misunderstand in thinking this image is wrong. It's not. I just feel there are other ways of processing it that would do th...

Re: Quirky

Thank you for comment Duck...I'm just often plain dense..do you mean just the eye processing doesn't fit the overall processing? or the overall processing doesn't fit the expression..... Her expression is light, fun, a little devilish and the processing should reflect that in order to really bring ...

... Business savvy is lacking in the small to medium sized businesses. Education is key! S- That seems like the logical solution. The reality is whose responsibility is it to educate the small business person? Are they responsible for their own education in proper marketing techniques? Unfortunatel...

Why do flashes of psychedelic bedroom posters suddenly come to mind?

This is fantastic. I particularly love the distortion around the edges. Very different. Trippy!

Re: Quirky

I love the expression. I love the processing. I don't think the two go together. The processing, as beautiful as it is, has a classic feel with a more serious undertone to it that is incongruous with the playful expression on her face. The sharpened eyes balanced against the soft focus vignette crea...

Re: What is the future of photography and professional photographers?

The hardest hit part of the photography business seems, to me, to be the consumer side, portraits specifically. I know a lot of portrait photographers that are struggling to keep their business afloat. The senior portrait market, that wasn't strong in my are to begin with, is now almost non existant...

Re: The Ethics of Landscape Photography - Article for Discussion

Okay, Matt, I went back and tried to restore the mist... This image has a lot of potential and I like what is happening, but please consider starting a new thread for that conversation. I'm sure Minnie would appreciate that. Moderator hat comes off now. Back to the regularly scheduled program. Thanks
