Re: Got My Goat

Thanks Tom.
Jenny, there is no shortage of people using the 25 cent pellet machines, they come over and eat out of your hand. BTW, I think it's a "Billy" goat.

160 Mph Dashboard

I just came across this shot from the last car show. All those great gauges on a really hot car, but why does the speedometer only go up to 160 Mph? :D I also noticed there's no milage on the car.

Re: Another Birder Has Joined!

Didereaux, well excuuuuse me. Maybe I shouldn't bother trying to help. There's a big difference between working 2 minutes on someone else's 500k file to show them how to brighten up their work a little and taking time on a 80mb file testing the amount of sharpening you limit to. And even with the &q...

Re: Another Birder Has Joined!

I had a few minutes, so here is the other 2. The 2nd one I also got rid of the branch and little point coming in from the right, plus the stray hair on it's head, very distracting. The duck, I just opened up, unsharp mask, and tried to bring out little color in the eye. I know some people are purist...

Re: 1926 Model T Buckster

Duck, I don't remember produce coming around, but I remember the knife sharpening guy. A real old truck, probably 1930s or 40s and he had a bell he would clang, something like the bell in a boxing ring.

Re: Another Birder Has Joined!

Thanks Laura, again, I really like your shots, but in my opinion, most shots (not just yours) need a little post work. Here's what I did in a couple of minutes. 1) open midtones, 2)a touch of sharpen or sharpen edges or unsharp mask or any combo as necessary without overdoing it, 3)brighten and cont...

Not Sure Why

Of the few hundred shots on my website, these berries are the second most viewed shot. I mean it's nice and Xmasy, but the second most viewed? (?)

Pink, Pink, Pink, Green

I took this shot in front of my house, I was playing with multiple focus shots that merge down. Overall I think it came out too busy, having nothing to do with the focus, it's just too much. Ya think?
