This was done under overcast light with the ambient exposure adjusted for the hedges, main flash into an umbrella at camera right and hair light flash for separation from the hedges behind the subject on a tripod and to camera right aimed directly at the back of her head.

We were at an outdoor cafe, and I liked the way the light reflected off the glossy menu my wife was holding and provided fill light from a bit underneath with large catchlights towards the bottom of her eyes. Minolta Autocord, Fuji Acros film.
